Tutorial maker for your AI agent
Ask your agent for a tutorial
Cactorial is a Mac app that lets Claude Code or Codex plan, record, narrate and render tutorial videos and documentation screenshots of your real software. When the UI changes, ask again.

Why Cactorial
Screen recordings go stale. Plans don't.
Most tutorial tools record a person clicking through once. The day a button moves, the video is wrong and someone records it all again. In Cactorial a tutorial is a plan your agent can run again.
Recorded once
Out of date- One take of one person clicking through.
- Wrong as soon as the interface changes.
- Fixing it means recording and editing by hand.
A plan your agent runs again
Current- Scenes, actions, narration and timing, written down.
- New UI? Ask your agent to record and render it again.
- The same brand, voice and structure every time.
How it works
You ask. Your agent produces. You watch.
-
Step 1 Install
Open Cactorial and allow Screen Recording and Accessibility. The app holds the Mac's permissions, so your agent never needs them.
-
Step 2 Connect
Settings › Agents › Connect adds Cactorial's MCP server and skills to Claude Code or Codex, and keeps the skills up to date.
-
Step 3 Ask
“Make a two-minute tutorial of exporting a report in our app.” Your agent asks what it should teach, who it is for and how long it should be.
-
Step 4 Watch & export
Studio follows the agent as it works. Change a sentence's words or voice if you like, then export the video, thumbnail, chapters and captions.
The agent does the production
Your agent judges. Cactorial keeps the books.
Cactorial has no AI model of its own. Its skills take your agent through every stage of a real production, and its tools return the evidence (screenshots, footage, word timings, rendered frames) for your agent to check. It knows what is out of date and which step fixes it.
-
01
Plan
Looks into the feature, writes the teaching brief and the scenes with real narration.
-
02
Record
Drives the real app on camera with visible clicks and typing, and rewinds a misfire.
-
03
Narrate
Rewrites the script from what was actually recorded, so every action is explained.
-
04
Voice
ElevenLabs, OpenAI or Gemini voices with your own key, or a free Mac voice.
-
05
Listen
Hears every voice back on your Mac and fixes the lines that came out wrong.
-
06
Frame
Sets the recording on your brand's canvas and zooms in on the work.
-
07
Align
Instructions come before their clicks, results after they appear. No dead air.
-
08
Review
Renders the video and checks the actual picture and sound before it says done.
Studio
A player for people, not an editor.
Studio is where you watch. It follows your agent's tutorial as it takes shape, with no timeline to fiddle with: timing, framing and alignment are the agent's job. You change words, voices and the brand, and export.

- Plan
- Your agent's plan and scenes, before anything is recorded.
- Produce
- Watch the video, change a sentence's words or voice, add music and export.
- Publish
- The finished video, an editable thumbnail, titles, chapters and captions to copy.
- Live
- An experiment: watch the recorder at work while your agent records.
Documentation screenshots
Help articles with pictures that match the app.
Ask your agent to update the screenshots in a help article. It sets the app up, captures the exact window or region, and annotates it in your brand, then writes and exports the article.

Your look on every title, label and thumbnail.

Ask your agent
“Make a Cactorial brand from acme.com.”
Logo, colours and fonts with an open licence.
Your brand
Proposed by your agent, chosen by you.
Works with your apps
Mac apps, web apps and everything in between.
-
Any Mac app
Your agent works from screenshots and the app's accessibility information.
-
Web apps, Chromium and Electron
Controls are addressed by their HTML, so clicks land on the right element every take.
-
App profiles
A profile tells the agent how to launch your app, reset it to a starting state and know when an action has finished. Profiles for Pinegrow, web apps in Chrome and any Mac app come with it; your agent can write one for yours.
Your agent, your keys
Runs on what you already have.
-
Your Claude Code or Codex subscription
The thinking is your agent's. Cactorial has no model of its own to pay for.
-
Your own voice key
ElevenLabs, OpenAI or Gemini, stored in your Mac's Keychain. The Mac's own voices are free and need no key.
-
Made on your Mac
Recording, listening and rendering happen on your Mac. Nothing is rendered in the cloud.
Questions
Good to know
Which agents does it work with?
Claude Code and Codex. Settings › Agents › Connect sets up either one: it registers Cactorial's MCP server and installs its skills, which the app keeps up to date.
What do I need?
A Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or newer, Claude Code or Codex, and the app you want to teach. A voice provider key is optional: the Mac's own voices work without one.
Do I have to edit the video?
No. Timing, framing and alignment are your agent's job. In Studio you watch, change a sentence's words or voice if you want to, and export. For anything bigger, tell your agent what to change.
What happens when our UI changes?
Ask your agent to record the tutorial again. The plan says what to show and say, so it re-records the real app, fits the narration to what it sees now and renders a new video in the same brand.
Does anything leave my Mac?
Recordings and renders stay on your Mac. Your agent works as it always does, and narration text goes to the voice provider you chose, with your key. The Mac's own voices and speech recognition run on the Mac.
Windows or Linux?
Not for now. Cactorial is a Mac app; it can record web apps running in Chrome on the Mac.
What will it cost?
Prices come with the public release. People in the private beta hear first.
